Ever wonder what happened in Oz before Dorothy showed up? Arguably, the biggest Broadway show of the 2010s and beyond is going on a national tour in 2025. Friday, August 8th, this all-star cast will be performing at the Uihlein Hall at the Marcus Center For The Performing Arts in Milwaukee. This is by no means a musical experience that hits the road often, and that's why you can't afford to miss this performance.
Could you think of a better date night idea on a Friday night? We couldn't either, and even if there was one, there's a chance you can re-book that idea, not Wicked! If you want to be in the audience as the story of the two witches plays out, then you need to be quick about clicking that "Buy Tickets" button. Spots are starting at only $51 for this performance. That's one of the best deals of the season at this venue.

Wicked, with music by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, explores the life story beyond the classic tale where the emerald-skinned Elphaba and the popular Glinda turn themselves into the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. Winner of three Tony Awards, the show features some of the most recognizable songs of any musical, like “Defying Gravity” and “Popular.” The August 8 show, part of a run from July 30 to August 17, promises a magical experience for all ages.
Directed by Joe Mantello, the production features stunning sets by Eugene Lee and costumes by Susan Hilferty, bringing Oz to life. Expect high-energy choreography with Elphaba’s “Defying Gravity” as a highlight. Doors open at 6:30 PM; arrive on time to make sure you're seated properly, as latecomers may be held until a suitable break. The show is recommended for ages eight and up, with no entry for children under 5.
