Finding the venue

Whether you’re arriving by car, public transport, or on foot, a central location in Downtown Milwaukee makes Uihlein Hall easy to access. 

Here’s a closer look at your options:

Public transport: Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) buses service several stops near Uihlein Hall. 

Routes include:

• Route 15 (Holton-Kinnickinnic)
• Route 18 (National-Greenfield)
• Route 57 (Walnut-Appleton)
• GreenLine (Bayshore-Airport)

The nearest bus stop is located on State Street adjacent to the Marcus Performing Arts Center. It’s serviced by all the routes listed above and is just steps from Uihlein Hall. 

If you’re travelling from another town or city, Milwaukee Intermodal Station, which serves Amtrak trains and Greyhound buses, is about a 20-minute walk away.

Driving: A multitude of downtown parking options make Uihlein Hall easily accessible by car. MPAC has its own parking facilities, located at 1001 North Water Street. This is the easiest and most convenient parking option, especially if you book in advance online. 

*there are plans to replace the MPAC parking garage and replace it with a multi-use high-rise development, so check the website for updates. 

Additional parking is available at nearby public garages and metered street spots. 

Whatever parking option you choose it’s best to arrive early to secure a spot, especially on busy event nights.

Walking: Uihlein Hall is within walking distance of many top-rated hotels in Downtown Milwaukee and the Theater District. The area is safe, pedestrian-friendly, and well signposted.

Enter Uihlein Hall through the main entrance of the Marcus Performing Arts Center. Doors typically open one hour before the performance begins. This gives you plenty of time to find your seat, order a drink, and explore the theater amenities. 

Entering the venue 

Contactless ticketing makes it easy to enter Uihlein Hall. Simply use a cell phone to log into your account and access your tickets. We recommend adding your ticket to your virtual wallet before leaving home to avoid connectivity issues. 

Self-scan ticketing kiosks are located just after the security screening. You’ll need to walk through a metal detector and have your bags searched for prohibited items before entering the venue. Leave unnecessary personal items at home or secure them in your vehicle to make the process as smooth as possible.
